Checker plates are intended as a coarse anti-slip solution. Unfortunately, it doesn't reach its target when wet. The stairs/slab becomes slippery and dangerous!

It is easy to solve with the tear plate tape from GripSafe. This tape has a self-adhesive aluminum foil backing, so that it takes the shape of the surface. Tap it into shape with a rubber mallet and the stairs are safe again!
